Resin-Impregnated Paper (RIP) Bushing, which is also called dry type bushing, the internal insulation is oil-free, which has many advantages compared with OIP Bushing. The common voltage class is 72.5kV, 126KV, 172KV, 252kV, 363kV, 550kV and 800kV. The outer insulation is porcelain or silicone rubber, we could design according the the requirements of the customer.
Comparison between RIP Bushings and OIP Bushings
Items | RIP Bushing | OIP Bushing |
Insulation Medium | Resin-impregnated paper (oil-free) | Oil-impregnated paper |
Environmental | Oil-free | Oil disposal risks |
Maintenance | Maintenance-free | Regular oil/leak checks |
Weight & Size | 20%~30% lighter (same voltage class) | Bulky |
Installation | Tilt-tolerant | Vertical installation ≤30° |
Low-Temperature | Resin withstands -50°C | Oil viscosity issues when cold |
Fire Safety | Flame-retardant | Combustible oil |
40.5 kv - 550 kV RIP air to oil transformer bushing
40.5 kV - 1100 kV RIP Oil- SF6 transformer bushing
24 kV - 40.5 kV Dry-type heavy current bushing
72.5 - 363 kV Dry-type wall bushing
+20kV - +800kV RIP converter transformer bushing
+10kV - +800kV RIP DC Wall bushing
Core Advantages of RIP Bushings
1. Eco-Safety: Eliminates oil leaks and fire hazards, ideal for indoor/dense urban areas.
2. Zero Maintenance: Reduces maintenance costs (suitable for remote installations).
3. Design Efficiency: Lightweight and compact for easier transport and installation.
